Recognition of Prior Learning Assessment
RPL Assessment
The Global Certificate of Public Accounting is a new learning program to prepare our future members with essential aspects of knowledge and skills that are necessary for an accounting related role.
Graduates of the Global Certificate of Public Accounting must be able to demonstrate they have achieved the relevant competencies that define each microcredential qualification.
RPL can be received in relation to both the Technical and Transdisciplinary domains of the Global Certificate of Public Accounting. RPL is not provided for the Professional domain.
There are two forms of RPL available
1. Complete RPL
The learner is deemed to have demonstrated the competencies associated with a microcredential and will be awarded certification for each of these microcredentials. As such they do not need to undertake microcredentials with Complete RPL as part of their progression through the Global Certificate of Public Accounting.
2. Partial RPL
The learner is deemed to have had the competencies associated with a microcredential โaddressedโ in prior learning. However, due to the nature of the assessment in those prior programs, has not had the opportunity to demonstrate their competence as specified in the Global Certificate of Public Accounting microcredentials. In this case the learner only needs to complete the assessment component of the microcredential.
Next Steps
