During this course you'll:
- Explain how ethics and governance work together to support fair, transparent financial practice.
- Identify ethical risks in common accounting scenarios (e.g. revenue recognition pressure, conflicts of interest, whistleblowing).
- Compare shareholder vs stakeholder perspectives and their impact on environmental, social and governance (ESG) decisions.
- Evaluate why compliance alone (internal controls, audits, policies) can’t manage ethical risk without a strong culture.
- Apply AML/CTF obligations and reporting requirements in line with current legislation.
- Recommend practical actions—controls, escalation paths, and decision frameworks—to prevent, detect and respond to misconduct and fraud.
