About these microcredentials
The Ethics in Principle and Ethics in Practice microcredentials are delivered in collaboration with Deakin University.
The content is delivered by Deakin University, where you will complete Ethics and Decision Making, Ethics and Governance and Ethics and Fraud programs.
To complete the Ethics content – Click here to enrol through IPA and Deakin University.
Once the Deakin University content is completed, you can enrol in the GCPA Ethics in Principle and Practice Assessment here. Completing this assessment ensures that the skills, knowledge and competencies required for the GCPA Ethics certifications are demonstrated.
The Ethics microcredential assessment will provide you with certification for two GCPA microcredentials – Ethics in Principle and Ethics in Practice.
What will be assessed?
Ethics in Principle
- The importance of governance systems and processes in ensuring ethical behaviour of organisations and managing conflict between ethical and governance objectives
- The history and development of theoretical approaches to business ethics
- Why compliance frameworks alone are not sufficient to ensure appropriate management of stakeholders such as governmental bodies, regulators, industry, local community, and shareholders.
Ethics in Practice
- Practical skills and knowledge for designing and implementing an ethical code for an organisation to minimise risk from ethical issues
- Manage tensions between complying with ethical requirements and acting in the public interest
- Reviewing developments in internal and external audit, risk and assurance in global organisations
- Assess and evaluate the implications of unethical practice for a business and its stakeholders to support effective workplace relationships.
