Privacy Collection Notice: Global Certificate of Public Accounting Program 

Monarch Institute (Monarch) (ABN 69 150 641 866) is collecting your personal information on behalf of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) (ABN 81 004 130 643) for the purposes of the delivery of the Global Certificate of Public Accounting (GCPA) Program (the Program).  

Monarch has been engaged by the IPA to design and support the delivery of the Program. Monarch will support the IPA with microcredential enrolment and payment, course delivery and support by industry expert trainers through the Learning Management System, and technical and administrative support for learners.   

Monarch and IPA are committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information it collects and receives. Monarch and IPA are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). 

Monarch and IPA only collect personal information (being information that identifies or could reasonably identify an individual) where it is considered to be reasonably necessary for the delivery and management of the Program. Monarch and IPA collects personal information including in circumstances when:  

  • you submit an enquiry via the learn.publicaccountants.org.au website,email or phone;  
  • you enrol and make payment in a GCPA full microcredential, GCPA assessment; GCPA Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Bundle of GCPA microcredentials; 
  • you register in the Learning Management System (LMS) to access your microcredential;  
  • you register for GCPA certification via the Accredible platform; and/or 
  • addressing requests for information and registering and resolving complaints; 

Your personal information will be stored on secure databases which reside in Australia. Contracted service providers may store personal information in the USA. If you have any concerns with your personal information being stored outside of Australia, please contact our Privacy Officer by email at ipa@monarch.edu.au to discuss. 

Any personal information collected, held, managed, used, disclosed, or transferred will be held in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and other applicable laws.  

Monarch and IPA will use the personal information collected only for the purposes associated with the delivery and management of the Program. Monarch and IPA will not provide, rent, sell, or exchange your personal information to third parties without your prior approval (unless authorised or required by law).
