Privacy Collection Notice: IFA Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Online Examination

Monarch Institute (Monarch) (ABN 69 150 641 866) is collecting your personal information on behalf of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), a member of the IPA Group (ABN 81 004 130 643) for the purposes of the delivery of the Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Online Examination (the Examination).  

Monarch has been engaged by the IFA to design and support the delivery of the Examination. Monarch will support the IFA with registration and payment, exam delivery and support by industry expert assessors through the Learning Management System, and technical and administrative support for learners.   

Monarch and IFA are committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information it collects and receives. Monarch and IFA are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). 

Monarch and IFA only collect personal information (being information that identifies or could reasonably identify an individual) where it is considered to be reasonably necessary for the delivery and management of the Examination. Monarch and IFA collects personal information including in circumstances when:  

• you submit an enquiry via the ifa.org.uk website, learn.publicaccountants.org.au website, email or phone;  

• you register and make payment in the Diploma of IFRS Examination; 

• you register on the Learning Management System (LMS) to access your Examination;  

• addressing requests for information and registering and resolving complaints; 

Your personal information will be stored on secure databases which reside in Australia. Contracted service providers may store personal information in the USA. If you have any concerns with your personal information being stored outside of Australia, please contact our Privacy Officer by email at ipa@monarch.edu.au to discuss. 

Any personal information collected, held, managed, used, disclosed, or transferred will be held in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and other applicable laws.  

Monarch and IFA will use the personal information collected only for the purposes associated with the delivery and management of the Examination. Monarch and IFA will not provide, rent, sell, or exchange your personal information to third parties without your prior approval (unless authorised or required by law).
